Shipping & Returns

Madani Bookstore offers worldwide delivery on ALL orders.

Most standard UK orders are sent via Royal Mail and selected orders, such as larger orders, via partner couriers.

Most international orders [under 2.0kg weight] are sent via Royal Mail Global Air mail services. For larger orders [over 2.0kg weight] we may use partner couriers if they are more competitively priced, in order to save you money.

We will always try to send your order in as few packages as possible. However sometimes we have to send your items separately, but we'll notify via email if that is the case.

Most orders are usually shipped within 24/48 hours of being received. There can be slight delays if one item from your order is not in stock, needs to be re-ordered. There will also be a few days delay for orders sent on Fridays, or at the weekend and on Bank/Public Holidays.

International [non UK] Orders

Sending items to the EU – VAT & customs duties

Taxes, duties and a clearance fee will be due on goods and gifts (excluding personal correspondence) sent from Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) to the EU and most International countries. It is your responsibilty to check what duties/fees are payable in your country for ordering books/gifts from our store.

Since 1 July 2021 [Brexit], most goods to the EU (including gifts) are now subject to VAT and potentially a clearance fee. The taxes and duties applied depend on the individual contents of the parcel, the weight and the value. The thresholds applicable within the EU are as follows :

---Goods up to €150 may be subject to VAT and a clearance fee.

---Gifts with a value over €45 will be subject to VAT and a clearance fee.

---Goods and gifts above €150 may be subject to VAT, customs duties and a clearance fee.

The thresholds and the amounts charged may vary from country to country. The customs authorities in the destination country decide the thresholds and the amounts charged. Your order/parcel won’t be released until payment has been received.

Each country sets their own rules relating to charges that apply to gifts. To learn about sending gifts and the charges related to this, please visit your country's customs page.

For goods sent to other countries outside of the EU, the same requirements apply in terms of the customs declaration. Customs thresholds, where taxes and duties apply, vary by country. It's recommended to check these before ordering items.

Where customs fees/VAT duty is not paid within a set period [ 7 days or 10 days] the receiving authority in your Country will return your order back to us as unclaimed. You will then have to repay the shipping fee.
