About the Author : 

He is Mulla Hassan al-Lakhnawi al-Farangi Mahalli, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi (d. 1199 h), the illustrious great-nephew of Mulla Niizam al-Din Muhammad al-Sihalawi (d. 1161 AH) and was one of the pioneering scholars of the Farangi Mahall institution and is revered for some of the greatest commentaries written on the sciences, some of which were even added into the traditional Nizami curriculum.
