This new work on the issue of the importance of the length of the beard ; contains numerous references and narrations from the Noble Qur'an al-Karim and ahadith ash-Shareef. Other statements and quotes given in this book have been derived from all four schools of thought (madhhabs) ; that is Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali, so that the reader may clearly understand the obligation (wujub) of one of the greatest signs (sha'ar) of Islam.

Also includes a refutation of others who have spoken or written in favour of a less than fistful beard, namely Allama Ghulam Rasul Saeedi [d.1437], rahimahullah, and the controversial clerics Abu ala Mawdudi and Dr. Tahir al-Qadiri.

He is the founder of Jamiya Alawia, Lancashire where he is the main Imam. He has been heavily involved in the advancement of spreading knowledge, whether that is teaching, writing and public speaking for many many years.

He has written a number of books, and also translated classical works such as Al-Targheeb wa't Tarheeb, in two volumes.
