Description :

A Students Guide to the Meanings of Hidaayah : How to teach Fiqh and Hidaayah, along with Usool e Iftaa, Usool e Fiqh and Qawaa'id e Fiqh.

Al-Hidaayah represents the corpus of Hanafi law in its approved and preferred form and forges an organic link with the other schools of law.  There is no book that can match the power of al-Hidaayah as a teaching manual. Education in Islamic law is not complete without this book. Accordingly, each and every madrassah and college whatever its affiliation, imparts instruction in Islamic law through al-Hidaayah.

The Reason for this Book :

Sadly some students are not taught correctly or fail to grasp the lessons or fully understand Hidaayah without making errors. This work is an attempt at remedying this situation, both on the part of the teachers as well as part of the students. It teaches the teachers how to teach Al-Hidaayah better, and it teaches the students how to understand Hidaayah better; hence, it is an indispensable kitaab for both asaatidhah and the talabah.

Along with being a guide on how to teach and study Al-Hidaayah, this book also gives detailed and beneficial information with regards to Usul al-Fiqh, Qawaa'id al-Fiqh and Dhawaabit al-Fiqh; these are presented in list form along with relevant 'ibaarat from Al-Hidaayah by which one can see a practical implementation of them and how the rulings are derived from them.

About the Author of Al-Hidaayah :

Imam Burhan al-Din al-Marghinani : He is Shaykh al-Islam, Muhaddith and Hafiz, Abu al-Hasan Burhan al-Din 'Ali b. Abi Bakr b. 'Abd al Jalal al-Farghani, al-Marghinani.

The great Hanafi jurist, was born at Marghian in the vicinity of Farghana in 530/1135.  He studied with Mufti Najm al Din Abu Hafs 'Umar al-Nasafi, his son Abu'l Layth Ahmad b. 'Umar al Nasafi and other eminent teachers, and excelled in Hadith, Tafsir, Fiqh and other studies. His scholarship was recognised and praised by eminent scholars such as Imam Fakhr al-Din Qadi Khan, Zahir al-Din Muhammad b. Ahmad al-Bukhari (the author of al-Fatawa al-Zahiriyyah) and others. Imam al-Marghinani passed away in 593/1197.
