Loving RasulAllah, ﷺ. This short work is a translation of a section from Kitāb al-Shifā bi Tárīfi Ĥuqūq al-Muşţafā, which is one of the finest biographies of the Prophet ﷺ.


Many scholars have said that: “A book of this kind has not been written in the history of Islām.”Qadi Iyad is a prominent ĥadīth scholar, Mālikī jurist and an author of many important works. Nobody disputes that Shifā is his most famous work and he is best known as the author of Shifā.
 
 
 
"If Ash-Shifa is found in a house, this house will not suffer any harm...when a sick person reads it or it is recited to him, Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, will restore his health."   

 

The Author :

He is Qadi Iyad bin Mussa or Abu al-Fadl Ayyad bin Amer ben Moussa bin Ayyad bin Muhammed bin Abdellah bin Mussa bin Ayyad al-Yahsubi al-Sabti (1083 - 1149) was born in Gibraltar. Al-Yahsubi refers to Yahob a region in Yemen. He was a pupil of Abu Abdullah bin Issa, of Imam Abu Abdullah bin Hamdine, of Abu Al Hassan bin Siradj and of imam Abu Al walid Ibn Rushd.


Qadi Iyad was appointed as a senior judge (Qadi) in Grenada, and was one of the most famous scholars of Maliki law. Qadi Ayyad bin Moussa is one of the seven saints of Marrakesh and is buried near Bab Aïlen. He authored many books but his main work is Ash-Shifa. The University of Marrakech (Cadi Ayyad) was named after him.
 


 
 
Shaykh Abu Hasan is a student of Islamic sciences and Sacred Law. Ĥanafī–Māturīdī and aspirant to the Qādirī path, he is an ardent admirer and follower of Imām Aĥmad Riđā Khān al-Baraylawī, may Alah be pleased with him. He translates bits and pieces from classical texts in the course of his learning for his own edification which he shares as helpful notes to beginners like himself.
