Diwan al-Mutanabbi - is one of the classical works of Arabic literature. It was written by one of the greatest Arab poets of his time Abu Tayyab al-Mutanabbi.
This work is the explanation (sharh) in urdu by Mufti Yaar Muhammad Khan Qadiri and is used in many Dars e Nizami syllabus.
Abu Tayyab al-Mutanabbi :
He is Abu Tayyib Ahmad Ibn Al-Husayn al-Jufi, better known as Al-Mutanabbi. He was born [302h.] in the southern Iraqi city of Kufa of Yemeni parents. Al-Mutanabbi showed signs of intelligence and unusual linguistic ability from an early age. Through hardship he decided to earn a living writing poetry, and travelled from city to city to seek recognition until he reached the Royal court of the ruler of Aleppo; Saif al-Dawla where he stayed for nine years.
After further travelling from Damascus, Egypt and Iraq, al-Mutanabbi was killed [d.354h] by some wandering bandits. Al-Mutanabbi's work was hugely influential over later Arabic poetry.
Allama wa Mawlana Mufti Yaar Muhammad Khan al-Qadiri is a renowned scholar from Pakistan. He is the founder and principal of 'Jam'ia al-Furqan' as well as Ustad al-Ulema (Sadr al-Mudariseen) of Hadrat Sultan Bahu Trust.
Mufti Yaar Muhammad Khan is also a prolific author who has written and translated numerous classical texts of the sacred sciences.
