A comprehensive and detailed book about Hanafi Fiqh (jurisprudence). It is widely used as a text book in the Hanafi Islamic Law in the traditional Islamic schools and seminaries. This is one of the earliest works on Hanafi Fiqh.




Ibn al-Humam :

He is Kamal al-Din Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahid ibn Abd al-Hamid Mas'ud al-Hafidh ibn al-Humam al-Hanafi al-Iskandari, [d.861h], known and often referred to as Ibn al-Humam. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt, and studied in Cairo as well as Aleppo. Ibn al-Humam was a mujtahid and highly regarded in many sciences of knowledge and was also a Sufi. He was also one of the many teachers of Imam al-Suyuti, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi. Ibn al-Humam was the author of Fath al-Qadir (10 Volumes) the comprehensive textbook on Hanafi fiqh, which is one of the earliest works on Hanafi fiqh. Amongst his works are :
