About the Author: Ilija Trojanow, the German author of Bulgarian origin, was awarded several prestigious literary prizes including the Prize of the Leipzig Book Fair 2006, the Berliner Literaturpresis 2007 and the ITB Book Award 2007 for his narrative work, which is devoted to a cosmopolitan attitude and which has as its theme the multiple interaction between the cultures of West and East.
