'' It is no secret that the Tijani spiritual path (al-Tariqa al-Tijaniyya) is the most excellent of paths. The ones that hold to this path are the most exemplary of groups, since this is the Abrahamic, Muhammadan, Ahmadi path. Its exterior is the noble virtues of the sacred law (shari'a), and its interior is the product of the Divine Reality (haqiqa). There is nothing found in its practices or arrangements of litanies except something explicitly commanded by Allah in His Mighty Book. So you will not find anything of which Allah does not approve, either explicitly or implicitly.

The Tijani litany (wird) consists of seeking forgiveness, invoking blessings upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying 'there is nothing worthy of worship but Allah,' and reciting verses of the Qur'an. Moreover, this litany was received from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, (by Shaykh Ahmad al-Tijani) in a waking state, not while sleeping.
