Description :
'Interpretation of the Sunnah' (Eedha e Sunnat) is a summarised version of the original manuscript by the eminent 'Khalifa e A'laHadrat'; Allama Mahmood Jaan, may Allah be pleased with him.
The author goes into great detail to answer issues arising from specific questions on Aqaaid (Islamic Belief) by using evidence from the Noble Qur'an, Sunnah and other authentic sources. The Answers to the Questions have been fully endorsed by numerous venerable scholars and masha'ikh, past and present but none greater than Imam e Ahl al-Sunnah: 'AlaHadrat' - Shah Imam Ahmad Rida Khan, alayhi ar-Rahman w'al-Ridwan, Huzur Mufti A'zam al-Hind and Hadrat Allama Hamid Raza Khan, may Allah be pleased with them.
---Question : [1] Ilm al-Ghayb : Knowledge of the Unseen :
---[1]. Did the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, possess complete 'knowledge of the unseen' (ilm al-Ghayb) from the beginning until the end, and did he also possess the 'Knowledge of the Five' things (Uloom e Khamsa), namely :
------(a). About the actual time when Qiyaamah will come?
------(b). When will it rain ?
------(c). What is in the womb of a mother?
------(d). On the next day, what will a person do?
------(e). Where will a person die?
(All of which Almighty Allah claims only for Himself)!
---[1.1]. Was the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, aware of all these things ?
---[1.2]. If the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, possessed knowledge of everything, then why is it that on numerous occasions He said, ''I do not know. I have no knowledge of this.'' ?
---[1.3]. Will it not mean that we equal the Prophet's, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, knowledge to that of Almighty Allah when we say that he has 'knowledge of all the unseen,' and will this then not be 'shirk' (poytheism) ?
---Question [2]. Al-Isra w'al-Miraj : The Night of Ascension :
---[2.1]. From 'where to where' did Rasoolullah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, go during the Night of Ascension) ?
---[2.2]. Was this journey of Rasoolullah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, physical (with his blessed body) or was it a spiritual journey (i.e. a dream)?
---[2.3]. What is the response to the issues concerning the physical Meraj as mentioned by Hadrat Amir Mu'awiyah and Sayyidah A'isha Siddiqa, may Allah be pleased with them both,
---[2.4]. On the night of Meraj, did the Beloved Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, see Almighty Allah with the eyes of his head, or did He only see through the heart ?
---[2.5]. What is the ruling in regards to those who reject the Meraj?
---Question [3 ]. Intercession :
---[3.1]. A question was asked as to whether the Beloved Rasool, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, has been blessed with the authority of Intercession or not.
------Will the Beloved Rasool, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, only be given this permission to intercede on the Day of Judgement (Yawm al-Qiyaamah) if Allah Wills?
---Question [4]. Can the Deceased Hear ? :
---[4.1]. Do the deceased hear the words of the living ?
------If they do hear, then what about the Qur'anic verse which says we should not address the dead!
------Do these verses negate the hearing of the deceased, and is it on the basis of these verses, that Sayyidah A'isha Siddiqqa, may Allah be pleased with her, does not accept the hearing of the deceased? Even the Muslim jurists have disagreed with this. What is your answer in the said situation.
------What have you to say in answer to the refutation of Hadrat Sayyidah A'isha Siddiqa, may Allah be pleased with her, and the fuqaha (jurists) ?
---Question [5]. Is it permissible to place Lanterns (candles or lights) on Graves?
---[5.1]. Illuminating the top of the grave with Lanterns?
---[5.2]. Lighting a candle or lantern away from the Grave, but near to it?
---Question [6]. Carrying Flagpoles towards the Eid-Gaah, (on Urs), etc.
---[6.1]. Is it permissble to carry flags at the place where Salaat al-Istisqa is being performed?
