Description :
Fatawa Tatarkhania is an early and authentic text on
Hanafi Jurisprudence from Delhi. It is considered as one of the greatest Islamic heritages and academic masterpiece left behind by the Delhi Sultanate in India.
Fatawa Tatarkhaniya was originally compiled into thirty volumes which serve as the encyclopedia of Islamic jurisprudence and
fatwa literature. It is considered one of the reference books for the future works on
Hanafi Fiqh.
It was compiled by Shaykh ‘Aalim bin ‘Ala Indarpati (d. 1381/786AH) in the reign of Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq (i.e. 1351-1389), but it was attributed to a notable noble Tatar Khan for his patronage of learning class and
ulama.
