Description :
I'tikaf ; It's Doctrines, Etiquettes and Deeds is the latest work by the accomplished author and renowned scholar Allama Muhammad Sajid al-Qadri.
Ramadan al-Mubarak is a month filled with blessings. The Beloved Prophet,
ﷺ, said it is the month of Almighty Allah. Muslims strive to worship
Almighty Allah immensely throughout this month. The Mosques are full of
believers, who recite the Holy Qur'an abundantly, and perform i'tikaf in the ashrah (10 days) of the month.
Literally, I'tikaf means sitting at one's door to attain his objective at any cost. Technically, it means to stay in the Mosque (where the five daily prayers [Salah] are performed in congregation) with the intention of attaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty. Hence, a mu'takif (a person who performs i'tikaf) stays at Allah Almighty's house with the firm and strong hope that he will not move out, unless Allah Almighty is pleased with him, and forgives his sins. Thus, a true believer, who performs i'tikaf sincerely, most definitely achieves his objective. This is because Allah Almighty behaves towards His worshippers according to their hopes.
