Nowadays many religious leaders who claim to be Sunni are gripped by the disease of hatred towards Hadrat Amir Mu'awiyah, radi Allahu anhu. This treatise is intended to completely cure this disease and fill the hearts of Muslims with love of the Prophetic Companions and the Prophetic Family so that love and honour of Amir Mu'awiyah, inclination towards him and the respect of this Prophetic Companion is established in their hearts.

This epistle addresses those Sunnis, who due to some misunderstandings, have some doubts regarding Amir Mu'awiyah, thus denying his honour. Conversing with the shi'ah on this issue is as useless as debating the rulings of Wudu and Salah with non-Muslims. One ought to firstly discuss with them the truth of Islam, whether the Qur'an al-Karim is the Book of Allah or not and if it is, then on whether it is protected of it has also been distorted like the Torat and Injil. Also whether the Caliphates of Hadrat Abu Bakr and Hadrat 'Umar, radi Allahu ta'ala anhum, are upon the truth or not. The issue of Amir Mu'awiya, radi Allahu anhu, arises much later. Firstly one should make them affirm the truth of the Qur'an, Rightly Guided Caliphs and entire Prophetic Family, may Allah be pleased with them all.
