Baybar’s life started as a nomad, taken into slavery by the Mongols, and ended up in the Sultan’s palace in Egypt. His bravery and strength soon saw him promoted to army general.


He successfully faced the greatest threats of the time from the Mongols and the Crusaders, who were both trying to take over Masjid Al-Aqsa.


The book outlines Baybar’s rise to power, his military skills and his defence of Masjid Al-Aqsa.
