About the Author : 

He is Faqih al-A'zam, Allama wa Mawlana Abu Yousuf Muhammad Shareef al-Hanafi Muhaddith al-Kotlavi, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi. He was also referred to as Shaykh al-Hadith ( Muhaddis e Kotla ) Muhaddith al-Kotla. He was from the kotla region of Sialkot in Pakistan. He authored numerous research articles (maqalat) and published them under the titles “Fiqh al Faqih”, “Dalail al Masail” and in the monthly Journal ‘Al Faqih’, Amritsar.


His son 'Sultan al-Wa'izeen' Mawlana Abul Noor Muhammad Bashir, rahimahullah, was also a scholar and author, who wrote the famous urdu work ... Sachi Hikayat (True Stories), amongst many other works.
