Description :
There has perhaps never been a time when the world was more in need of an authentic depiction of the Best of Creation, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. ‘Our Master Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, is a unique work discussing the noble qualities and characteristics of the Final Prophet, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, in a way that is infused with love and devotion. In the first volume of this book, the author depicts all the fine attributes of our Prophet, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, with respect to his physical beauty, his eloquence and wisdom, his exalted status, his sublime character and his mercy, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.
This incredible expression of Prophetic love was written by the scholar of Aleppo, Imam ‘Abdallah Sirajuddin al-Husayni, Radi Allahu anhu, who was not only a Hafiz, a leading scholar of Hadith and exegete of the Qur’an, but also a true Saint, referred to by scholars as ‘The Pole of Prophetic Love of our Times’. His book is the product of true scholarship and virtue.
About the Author :
He is Imam 'Abdallah b. Mujammad Najib Sirajudd?n al-HalabI al-Husayni, rahimahullah, and is one of greatest scholars that the Syrian city of Aleppo—known in the Levant as “the city of scholars”—has ever known. He was a true friend of Allah Almighty, an extraordinary saint who dedicated his entire life to the service of Islam. His qualities were many and his skills outstanding.
Imam 'Abdallah, known as “the Light of Aleppo,” was a renowned spiritual master of the Rifa'i path, an expert in Hanafi jurisprudence, a Sufi' and brilliant exegete of the Qur'an, as well as a scholar and Hafidh of Hadith, having memorised more than one hundred thousand traditions. He was most famous, however, for his immense and intense love for our master Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah.
Imam 'Abdallah wrote more than thirty books dealing with Islamic spirituality, creed, ethics, and the noble manners of the Messenger of Allah, the sciences of Hadith and exegesis of the Qur'an. One of his famous works is the book of which we have the translation before us today: An Explanation of the Bayquni Poem in Hadith Terminology.
Imam 'Abdallah’s students were numerous, many of them becoming prominent scholars themselves, such as his son Shaykh Ahmad Sirajuddin, his nephew and son-in-law Shaykh Nur al-Din 'Itr, Shaykh Samir al-Nass, Shaykh Muhammad 'Awwama and Shaykh Muhammadal-Ninowy, may Allah preserve them.
Following a surgical operation carried out towards the end of his life, the health of Imam 'Abdallah deteriorated. On the 4th of March 2002 CE [1422 H.] he returned to his Lord. The news of his passing was announced throughout the Muslim world and covered it with a veil of sorrow. Imam 'Abdallah Sirajuddin al-Husayni was buried in the Sha?b?niyya complex, next to the graves of its Ottoman founders.
