Nahj al Taysir ala Nahzm al-Tafsir is a commentary [sharh] by Imam Sayyid Muhsin bin Ali Musawa al-Hadrami [d.1354h] rahimahullah, of the poem on the Ulum of the Qur'an Exegesis [tafsir] by Shaykh Abd al-Aziz al-Zamzami [d.976h] rahimahullah. The poem itself summarises the works of Imam Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti, rahimahullah, primarily his famous encyclopedias on Quranic sciences like Al-Itqan and al-Nuqayah.
Imam Sayyid Muhsin bin Ali Al-Musawi Al-Hadrami (1323–1354 AH / c. 1905–1935 CE), rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi. He is often known as Sayyid Muhsin Al Musawa, was a prominent Islamic scholar, educator, and author of Hadhrami descent, hailing from Palembang, Indonesia. He is highly revered within the Islamic educational community for his contributions to the transmission of Islamic knowledge
Shaykh Izz al-Din Abd al-Aziz ibn Ali al-Zamzami al-Makki (d. 976 AH/1568 CE) rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi was a renowned 16th-century Shafi'i jurist, scholar, and poet from Makkah. He is best known for his didactic poem (manzumah) on the foundational principles of Quranic exegesis, titled Muqaddimah fi Usul al-Tafsir.
