Description :

The Translators have included 1112 out of c.1900 Ahadith from the original version and also included a Short Introduction before each Section (or Book), this is generally from Classical texts such as 'Ihya Ulum ud-Din' of Imam al-Ghazali, alayhi ar-Rahman.

The Riyad us-Saliheen is the famous 5th Century Hijri, Ahadith compilation by Shaykh al Islam Imam al-Nawawi, may Allah be pleased with him.

The ahadith are predominantly from Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim (Other ahadith are from the reliable books such as Sunan at-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah and the Muwatta of Imam Malik), 1112 (out of 1900) Ahadith compiled over 344 Chapters which can be generalised in the contents below.

Imam an-Nawawi :

About Shaykh al Islam Muhiy'ud-Din Ibn Sharf Imam al-Nawawi (d. 676/1277). Imam al-Nawawi, may Allah be pleased with him, was born in the village of Nawa in Southern Syria. He spent most of his life in Damascus where he lived in a simple manner, devoted to Allah, engaging single-mindedly in worship, study, writing and teaching various Islamic sciences. He was the foremost sufi scholar of his time, revered and respected for his outstanding knowledge and wisdom.
