Tafsir al-Jilani : After remaining unpublished for nearly nine centuries as a manuscript hidden in a library museum, the commentary of the holy Qur’an written by the legendary scholar and saint of Baghdad, al-Ghawth al-A‘zam, Sayyiduna Shaykh Muhy al-Din ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu, has in the near past been extracted and published for the benefit of the Ummah.

This Five Volume (Arabic) Beirut edition of Tafsir al-Jilani is presented here in five volumes and contains translation and commentary of the Noble Qur'an al-Kareem. It comes printed on white paper using two colour ink. The Arabic text is bold and clear and includes footnotes.

Sultan al-Awliya; Muhiy'ad-Din Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani al-Hasani w'al-Husayni, may Allah sanctify his secret, was born near the Caspian Sea, in a town called Jilan. He is one of the most venerated figures in Islam.

The venerable Ghawth 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, may Allah sanctify his secret, is noted for his extraordinary spiritual experiences and exploits, as well as his memorable sayings and wise teachings. It is rightly said of him that 'he was born in love, grew in perfection, and met his Lord in the perfection of love.

The shaykh passed on to the Realm of Divine Beauty in 561_A.H /1166 _C.E and his mausoleum in Baghdad attracts millions of pilgrims from throughout the globe.
