About the Author :

He is al-Imam Muhammad ibn Shams al-Din 'Abi Bakri Abd al-Qadir al-Razi, al-Hanafi, [d.666h], rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi. He was the author of numerous works on many sciences but his most famous work was the classic Arabic Dictionary Mukhtar as-Sahih.  To our knowledge he has no blood relations to his more famous namesake Imam Muhammad ibn `Umar Fakhr al-Din al-Razi, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi, the renowned theologian.
