Description :

من أثر الكتاب في اختلاف أولي الألباب, Min Athar al-Kitab fi Iktilaf awali al-Lubab - This work is a Arabic linguistic study written by Professor Dr. Mohamed Husayn Abd al-Aziz al-Mahrasawi of Al-Azhar University.

Min Athar al-Kitab investigates the book "Al-Kitab" by Imam al-Sibawayh [d.180h], the founding and most authoritative text in Arabic grammar. Because al-Sibawayh's phrasing can be highly complex and cryptic, subsequent master grammarians often differed on exactly what his views were.  Dr. Al-Mahrasawi extracts and analyses 37 complex grammatical and morphological issues.

Imam al-Sibawayh :

He is Abu Bishr 'Amr ibn 'Uthman ibn Qanbar, known as Sibawayh (d. 180 AH/796 CE, according to the preferred report). He is universally known by the name Sibawayh. He was considered The leading authority of Arabic grammar and the hujjah (decisive proof) of the Arabs, was an Iranian scholar who resided in Basrah, Iraq. He is the author of the unparalleled and foundational work in Arabic grammar, Al-Kitab. According to one biographical account, he was born around 140 AH/757 CE in the city of al-Baydaʾ in Persia, situated eight parasangs from the city of Shiraz.

To this day, nothing comparable has been authored similartp his Al-Kitab. Al-Kitab is the first complete and systematic work on Arabic grammar, upon which all subsequent grammatical studies are based. It continues to be studied throughout the world.
