Al-Sahaba Nujum al-Ihtida is a treatise written by Mufti Akhtar Rida Khan al-Qadiri, the great-grandson of the great Reviver and Reformer of Islam; the mujaddid of the previous century; AlaHadrat 'Imam al-Ahl al-Sunnah' al-Shaykh al-Imam Ahmad Rida Khan, alayhi ar-Rahman w'al-Ridwan.


The book discusses the famous hadith ascribed to the Beloved Prophet, salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, :

This hadith was declared weak by certain scholars; however, the author explains that if a weak hadith gains fame and general acceptance it can be judged as authentic. Imam Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti, alayhi ar-Rahman w'al-Ridwan, said in Tadrib al-Rawt :“ Some of them have said that a hadith is judged authentic if it is met with general acceptance among the people, even if it does not possess an authentic chain.”
