Darood-e-Akbar is a celebrated Darood Shareef (Salawat) because it contains the beautiful attributive names of the Beloved Messenger of Allah, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, in a collective form.


This Salawat is called Darood-e-Akbar owing to its nature and lengthiness. At the end of every sentance the Beloved Prophet, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, is addressed frequently. Therefore whosoever makes it a daily [habitual] practice to recite this Darood once, either before or after the obligatory Fajr (dawn) ritual prayer then his heart will develop an everlasting love for the Majestic Messenger of Allah, may Allah Almighty Shower His Mercy upon him & give him peace, and eventually he/she will be blessed with seeing the Exalted Messenger, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. Therefore if one increases the recitation of this Darood he will be able to meet the most Glorious Beloved Prophet, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.
