The Malfuzat, are the Utterances or Sayings of Sayyadina al-Ghawth al-A'zam, Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, may Allah be pleased with him.  This is a collection of sayings, anecdotes and short talks on various topics of immense value to the reader.






It is in this book the Noble Shaykh twice mentions that wilayat [sainthood] should be the goal of every Muslim, that is to say, that it is not beyond the aspiration of the common man to become a wali [Friend of Allah]. The shaykh has lifted our eyes out of the dust and set them in the direction of the most exalted levels, may Allah [Exalted is He] be pleased with him.
