Description

The noble Imam and Mujaddid, Imam Ahmad Rida, may Allah be pleased with him, wrote Muntaha al-Tafsir li Mabhath al-Tafdil, a masterpiece which made abundantly clear from the verses of the Qur'an, the Ahadith and statements of the scholars: the pre-eminent status of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, and Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq, among the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all.

Indeed, the topic had given rise to deviant sects who puit their own spin of the afdaliyat of the shaykhayn : namely scts such as the Tafdiliyah and Sanfadiyah. This work is also a refutation of these groups claims and beliefs.

The original works in its entirety spans 90 juz (chapters), however, the noble Imam Ahmad Rida, foresaw that it would be ardous on readers so the erudite Imam, in his superb wisdom and in a showcase of his genius, penned this abridgement entitled, Matla al-Qamarayn fi Ibanat Sabqat al-Umarayn.

Consisting of 69 verses of the Holy Qur'an, 233 Ahadith, along with numerous statements of the luminary scholars of the past as well as a irrefutable logical arguments, which further demonstrated his divinely inspired embellished mind. Imam Ahmad Rida proves beyond doubt, the pre-eminent rank of two of the greatest Companions, namely Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Sayyiduna 'Umar al-Faruq, may Allah be pleased with them.  We trust that this informative masterpiece be of great benefit to the Muslim Ummah
