Sayyid Abbas Bin 'Alawi al-Maliki al-Hasani rahimahullah, was born in the sacred city of Makkah in the mid part of the 20th century. A scholar whose specialism lied in the Sirah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He was also a descendent of the Beloved ﷺ and younger brother to whom many consider the Mujaddid of the century Shaykh Muhammad 'Alawi Al-Maliki, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi.
The Shaykh would remark how Makkah had changed in his life by the cessation of simplicity. An example of this is when the Shaykh grew up the congregation of Fajr weren't able to identity the person standing next to them. He rued the fact that a supposedly intimate moment between man and his Creator, i.e., The Tahajjud prayer was being televised to the entire world.---Al-Baqi Institute. The shaykh passed away in Jumada al-Ula, 1436 After Hijri (2015) and is laid to rest in Jannat al-Mualla, Makkah tul Mukarrama.
