'Al-Basheer' contains the sharh by the renowned scholar Sadr al-Ulema Allama Sayyad Ghulam Jilani Meruthi, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi, who earned the honorific title 'Imam an-Nahw' from his contemporaries such was his expertise on this topic.

Imam al-Jurjani.

The work ‘Nahw Mir’ is authored by al-Sayyid al-Sharif 'Ali b. Muhammad al-Jurjani [740 - 816 AH] who was born in the city of Jurjan on the 22nd of Sha'ban in the year 740AH. He attained his religious education from the foremost authorities of his time, namely al-'Allama Mubarak Shah and al-'Allama Akmal al-Din Muhammad b. Mahmud al-Babarti. Under the guardianship of such reputable luminaries, he became known by two epithets; al-Sayyid al-Sanad” and Mir Sayyid”.



About the Author : Sadr al Ulama, [or Imam an Nahv as he was also called], Allama Ghulam Jilani al Mertathi 'alayhir ar rahman, was amongst the eminent and most learned scholars of his time. He was a prolific author, astute lecturer, a master of arabic as well as being proficient in many sciences.
