Description :
Love for the Messenger Muhammad ?, by the late Muhaddith al-Sham Shaykh Nur al-Din ‘Itr, may Allah have mercy upon him. The book is a translation of his Arabic treatise entitled Hubb al-rasul ? min al-Iman, Love for the Messenger ? is a part of faith.
Having true love for the Messenger ? is a divine command, while cultivating this love such that he ? becomes more beloved to one than one’s own self was described by the Prophet ? as the hallmark of true faith. None displayed this love for him ? more than the best of generations, the Companions. Their love was described by the Commander of the Faithful ?Al?, may Allah be pleased with him, who said, ‘The Messenger of Allah ? was more beloved to us than our wealth, children, fathers, mothers and more beloved to us than cool water at the point of thirst.’
So how do we attain such love? What can we do to increase our love for him ?? How would those closest to him express their love for him? And what did the Messenger ? instruct us to do regarding this most significant of matters? The author Shaykh N?r al-D?n ?Itr, may Allah have mercy upon his soul, the foremost hadith authority of Greater Syria in his era, outlines the true meaning of sincere love for the Prophet ? in light of the Words of the Merciful and those of His Elect ?.
