Jahan e Hujjat al-Islam : is the first ever complete work (in any language) of the life, works, personality of 'Hujjat al-Islam' Allama Shaykh Muhammad Hamid Raza Khan al-Qadiri al-Barelwi, alayhi ar-Rahman.


Shaykh Hamid Raza Khan is the son of the Great Islamic Reviver and Reformer, Imam-e-Ahl as-Sunnat 'Ala Hadrat' Shaykh Ahmad Raza Khan al-Qadiri, Muhaddith al-Barelwi, Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu.




About Hujjat al-Islam : Shaykh Hamid Raza Khan :


Allama wa Mawlana al-Shaykh Muhammad Hamid Raza Khan al-Qadiri, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi,  was a notable scholar born into a pious and deeply religious family in Bareilly Shareef, Northern India in 1875 (Rabi' al-awwal 1292 Hijri). He was the eldest son of the Mujaddid Imam Ahmad Raza Khan, who was the son of Mufti Naqi Ali Khan, who was the son of Shaykh Raza Ali Khan.


He received his early education from his father Imam Ahmad Raza Khan and had completed his formal Islamic studies by the age of 19. He was proficient in the languages of Arabic and Persian, as well as Ahadith, fiqh, falsafa (philosophy) and mathematics. Hujjat al Islam studied with 'Khatam al-Akabir' Shaykh Abu'l-Hussain Ahmad Nuri of Mahrarah shareef, and was initiated into the Barkatiya sufi order (tariqah). Hujjat al-Islam also received khilafat from his illustrious father, AlaHadrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan.


Hujjat al-Islam wrote and translated books on various subjects, including his compilation of Risal al-Jaleela. He also translated some of his father's works. He was responsible for translating Al-Dawlah al-Makkiyyah bil Maddat il Ghaybiya from Arabic into Urdu. This groundbreaking work dealt with Ilm al-Ghayb the 'knowledge of the unseen' of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ.

---As Sarim ar-Rabaani ala Asraf Qadiyani : Refutation of the Ahmadiyyah cult,
---Urdu translation of Al-Dawlah al-Makkiyyah,
---Urdu translation of Kifl al-Faqih al-Fahim, Concerning the ahkham regarding paper currenc.  This work was written in Arabic by A'laHadrat as-Shaykh Imam Ahmad Raza Khan,
---Hashiya Mulla Jalal, A text used in the Darsi e Nizami syllabus,
---Naatiya Diwan, Collection of religious poetry and prose,
---Fatawa Hamidiyah, Large collection of religious edicts on numerous topics.



Hujjat al Islam passed away on the 17th of Jamadi-ul-Ulaa (23 May 1943) whilst praying. His janaza (funeral prayer) was led by his noble student of hadith, the great scholar 'Shaykh al-Qur'an' Imam Muhammad Abd al-Ghafur Hazarvi, rahimahullah. Hujjat al-Islam also gave khilafat to Imam Muhammad Abd al-Ghafur Hazarvi.


He is laid to rest next to the shrine of his father, Shaykh Imam Ahmad Raza Khan, alayhi ar-Rahman w'al Ridwan, in Bareilly shareef.
