About the author : Ayesha A. Scott was born on April 5th 1960 in the small fishing village of Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex. The daughter of Alan and Carol-Ann Scott she was educated at Steyning Grammar School before going on to University. She won her first writing completion at the age of seven with her poem ‘If I had to be an Animal.’ In 1981 she went to live and work in Malaysia with her husband and except for a period of six years (1987-1993) when they returned to England, has remained there.
In 1995 her first series of thirteen children’s books for primary schools entitled ‘Children’s Supplication’ series was published by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. They have been republished several times as well as being translated in the Malay language. In 1996 she represented Great Britain at the International Istiqual poetry festival in Jakarta, Indonesia reading extracts from her poetry book Search. At the end of the festival she was awarded the title of Istiqual Honorary Fellow of Poetry. In 2003 Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka began the publication of her Series of 200 books called ‘The Glorious Prophet’ series telling the stories of the Prophets from Adam to Jesus, peace be upon them, fully illustrated with many historical and scientific facts for young adults.
She has also written for various newspaper and magazines within Malaysia. A mother of eleven children she is also active in social welfare work as well as being a cancer councillor. An active woman who is also a great bookworm she writes an average of 4-6 hours most days.
This trilogy that was partly inspired by Tolkien is the author’s first novel, and first book for adults.
