Description :
[1] How to Perform Hajj & Umrah : According to the Four Sunni Schools of Law,
[A5] Paperback - 145 pages,
Extract from the Authors Introduction :
'' Allah, the Transcendent and Exalted, does not accept any deed that is performed contrary to the Sacred Law, regardless of how frequently or strenuously such an act is performed or if one spends one's wealth in that regard. Thus, the ultimate purpose of the slave is only achieved by knowing the rulings of the Sacred Law: in that which is obligatory and that which is forbidden. So what about [about knowing the rulings of] hajj, the opportunity of a lifetime and the expiator for all sins of the past! The scholars of all schools of law have categorically stated that it is necessary for a pilgrim to know the rulings of hajj.
I have repeatedly been asked to author a concise book that would be easy for a pilgrim to carry and read whilst stationery and travelling, during his tawaf, sa'y and the rest of his rites: therefore I saw a pressing need for such a work. I have accordingly responded to the tremendous objective and have presented for the pilgrim this detailed and systemic [guide], beginning with one's departure as a traveller, to returning safely to one's family. I have presented herein the rites of hajj according to a daily schedule, explaining the rituals that one needs to observe on each of the days, so as to make matters clearer and easier to apply, without delving into derived rulings and particular case scenarios. We have included important amendments and instructions in this edition that will help one avoid encountering difficulties.'' ---Servant of the Qur'an and Hadith, Nur al-Din Itr, Faculty of Shariah, University of Damascus.
[2] The Pilgrim's Companion : A Handbook of Supplications for Hajj and Umrah.
[Pocket Size] Paperback - 120 pages,
Translated by Amjad Mahmood.
From the Back Cover:
Du'a (supplication) has been described by the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, as the 'essence of worship' (mukhkh al-'ibadah). He therefore emphatically encouraged the believers to turn to Allah in supplication, particularly in blessed times and places, as there is greater expectancy in such prayers being accepted in those circumstances. There is probably no time - other than Ramadan - more blessed than the time of hajj nor any place more blessed than the sites wherein the hajj rituals are performed. Imam al-Nawawi, may Allah be pleased with him, relates that Hasan al-Basri, may Allah be pleased with him, said, ''Supplications are answered during [hajj] on fifteen occasions [or places] : during tawaf, at the Multazam, under the rain pipe (mizab), in the House [Ka'aba], at the Zamzam well, on al-Safa and al-Marwah, in the sa'y area, behind the Maqam [of Ibrahim], in 'Arafah, in al-Muzdalifah and at the three sites of stoning (jamarat) in Mina. Thus deprived is the one who does not strive in supplicating therein.''
This booklet comprises a comprehensive collection of supplications extracted from Shaykh Nur al-Din 'Itr’s 'How to perform Hajj and Umrah according to the Four Sunni Schools of Law.' The majority of the supplications have been transmitted from the Prophet, Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam, while the remainder are from the saints (Awliya-Allah) and scholars (ulema) from his nation. One should endeavour to memorise and recite them with presence of heart; in order to facilitate such inner concentration, their translation is provided, together with a transcription to aid those who have difficulties in reading the Arabic script.
