Description :


When hearing the Mu'azzin proclaim, ''Ash'hadu anna Muhammadur-Rasullullah,'' it is preferred (Mustahab) to kiss the two thumbs or the shahaadat finger and place them on the eyes.


There are many deeni and worldly benefits associated with this act, as well as numerous Ahadith documenting it's practice. Doing so was even practiced by the Sahaba (the Noble Companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and Muslims everywhere perform it in the belief that it is Mustahab.
