Kissing the thumbs or the index fingers and rubbing them to the eyes on hearing the name of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad, salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, [the Intercessor on the Day of Judgement], during the Adhaan is absolutely permissible, is good and is a source of great mercy and barakah.
