Description :

We believe that there exists no other book in Bengali like Milad-e-Benazir, with regards to this subject with so many citations and references from some of the greatest scholars of Islam. In the reference section, the author has included the names of 230 historically acclaimed books of great authors, from which he has used many quotations in his book. Therefore it is proved that Milad-e-Benazir is such a book in Bengali on Milad that it is really wonderful and totally incomparable.

In Milad-e-Benazir, in order to prove his points, the author added the respective references of great Islamic scholars accordingly. The Ashiq-e-Rasool, Hazrat Maulana Mujahid Uddin Choudhury Dubagi discussed in depth all the different subjects involving the noble Mawlid, including the Qiyam. People, who want to know the real facts on Milad are requested to read Milad-e-Benazir. They will undoubtedly get the exact information that they seek and will see the truth regarding this perfect practice of our pious predecessors.

The book consists of six main chapters and there are 600 pages in total.  In the first chapter the author discusses the truth regarding Bid’ah in the eyes of the great scholars of Islam. He provides an introduction to the term, the various divisions in it, and the strong answers of the great Ulama of the past to the statement of the people who say that all Bid’ah is unlawful, and that the Milad Shareef  is also one of those unlawful innovations.

In chapter two, the author begins discussing the noble Milad Shareef in detail. Here, the meaning of Milad is discussed as well as the reference to the final promised Prophet in 'Bed Puran,' the Buddhist religious book, the Persian religious book, the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Bible) etc. The concept of the Noor (light) of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) is also discussed with all the references to justify the arguments. In the fifth chapter the author discusses the fact of Hayat-un-Nabi (the living state of the prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam)) in detail. This chapter contains the opinions of twenty Imams and Mujtahideen amongst our pious predecessors on the issue that are placed from pages 486 to 514. In chapter number six, the author discusses the all important topic of performing/celebrating the noble Milad. He discusses this imperative subject with great analysis along with the rules of performing the Mawlid; the Tawallud Sharif, the second Qaseedah-e-salaam, the third Qaseedah-e-salaam and the rules of performing Munazaat. The author also intelligently added references on the issue in pages 541 to 548.

Undoubtedly, we can say that the book Milad-e-Benazir, written by the internationally renowned Islamic intellectual and teacher of the scholars, Shaikul Hadith Allama Mufti Qari Muhammad Mujahid Uddin Choudhury Dubagi saheb (ex-Imam, Khateeb and a great Muballigh in the UK) is a time memorial history and a proven document. In the introduction of the book the author said, “I have observed from the very beginning of my childhood that Milad Sharif was performed in each and every house in my motherland Dubag, after Amon or Shail and Boro, the two main harvests. All the Ulamas (Islamic scholars) used to be invited and all the villagers used to perform Milad (commemoration of the birth day of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam). with honour and Qiam (standing up out of respect during the final portion of the Milad). Allah (Subahanahu wata 'ala) says,

We sent you (Muhammad) as a mercy for the universe” (Quran 21:10)

... and he (Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) was also described by Hazrat Ayesha (Radiallahuta’al ‘anha) as “the walking Quran.”The main belief of the people was that if Milad was performed at their homes, their homes would become enlightened and prosperous. So, if the people faced any problem, they used to celebrate Milad at their own homes and through its blessings, asked Allah (Subahanahu wata 'ala) to resolve their problems for them.
