Shaykh Pir Sayyad Naseer ud-Din Naseer: Pir sahib was the ‘Sajjad-a-Nasheen’ of the spiritual family of Golra Sharif (near Islamabad) and a poet of national eminence in his own right. He was a scholar, a researcher and author of about forty books on several subjects. His poetic books had won acclaim. Shaykh Naseeruddin Naseer was the great-grandson of Shaykh Meher Ali Shah, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi, of Golra Sharif and the son of Syed Ghulam Moinuddin Gillani. He is the nephew of Syed Shah Abdul Haq Gillani.

Pir sahib was against traditional mysticism and favoured it as a means of practical moral and spiritual training for development of personality. He also had a vast following across Pakistan and abroad and would undertake visits of Europe for preaching purposes. He passed away in Golra sharif 13th February 2009, being 18th Safar 1430 After Hijri.
