The Film ‘Innocence of Muslims’ is an incitement towards religious hatred which deliberately attempted to provoke a population by targeting the symbol of their religious identity towards a reaction that may become the headline story for commercial and ideological media outlets. Muslims have come out into the streets in their thousands to register their protest and demonstrate their hurt and anger all over the world.

The ?lm is full of mockery and indecent slander. The content of the ?lm expounds upon misleading narratives and the entire spectacle of the ?lm, its release and content as well as the consequent worldwide reaction have presented a need for ?rm intellectual and public leadership to assist in steering the masses towards the true understanding necessary.

In this particular discourse, Shaykh M I H Pirzada has provided an in-depth analysis of the entire issue surrounding this ?lm covering the following three main themes :

Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada, born in 1946 in Jhang, Pakistan, is a graduate of DMG Bhera and the University of the Punjab (Pakistan). His qualifications include Adib, ‘Alim and Fadil ‘Arabi, BA (English), MA (Islamic Studies), MA (Arabic) and MOL.

He is the author of numerous books relating to various topics - written in a number of different languages including Arabic, Urdu and English. Currently many of his books are being translated into Indonesian & Norwegian languages.

Amongst the books he has written are Islamic way of Worship, Islam; The Complete way of Life, Islamic Beliefs, The Beautiful life of Muhammad, peace be upon him, Imdad-us-Sarf (Etymology), Imdad-un-Nahv (Syntax), Imdad al-Fiqh fi’l-Ibadat, Guldasta Aqa’id, Muslims in a Multicultural Society and many more, all of which are available here at Madani Propagation. At present he is writing Tafseer Imdad-ul-Karam; a modern exegesis of the Qur’an and the first to be written in the United Kingdom. His most recent publication is The Ideal Mother; In light of the Qur’an, Sunna & Tradition. He continuously writes articles on contemporary issues affecting the Muslims, nationally and internationally, that regularly appear in newspapers and journals as well as exclusives in the Al-Karam Journal.
