''Taqrib al-Tahdhib'' is the renowned work of Asma al Rijjal. It is a compendium of hadith narrators, with each narrators name and a ruling on that persons condition.


This work is Shaykh Imam Ahmad Rida Khan's, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi, hawashi of a more larger and extensive work by the Muhaddith Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi, namely, Tahdhib al-Tahdhib.


This is a decent two colour print on cream paper and was published earlier in 2021 by Dar al-Kotob al-Ilmiyya, Beirut.


 

Imam Ahmad Rida Khan [d.1340h] :
 
He is Al-Imam Al-Shaykh Abu'l Mustafa Ahmad Rida Khan al-Qadiri al-Hanafi (b. 1272 AH/1856 CE), alayhi ar-Rahman w'al-Ridwan. Imam Ahmad Rida (Raza) was a renowned Hanafi jurist, hadith expert and theologian par excellence, recognised by scholars from the Islamic world to be a reviver [mujaddid] of his era.
 
He was a prolific writer whose legal edicts were gathered into twelve encyclopedic volumes and covered almost every science of his day.
