About the author :
He is Malik al-Ulama, Bahr al-Uloom, Abu al-Ayyash al-Shaykh Allamah al-Imam Abdul 'Ali Muhammad Lucknowi Firangi Mahali al-Hanafi al-Qadiri, alayhi ar-Rahman. He was born in 1142 AH in Firangi Mahal, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) India. He is the son of the founder of Dars i--Nizami Curriculum ; Allamah Shaykh Nizam al-Din Sihalvi, alayhi ar-Rahman.
Bahr al-Ulum Lacknawi was an expert in rational and traditional sciences, teacher of scholars (Ustad al-Ulema), author of numerous books including Fawatih ar- Rahamoot and Arkan-e-Arbi’ah (Rasa'il al-Arkan), and considered amongst the leading scholars of the Ahl us Sunnah w'al-Jama'at.
He passed away on 12 Rajab 1225 AH. His blessed mausoleum is in the vicinity of Walajah Grand Mosque in Madras (Chennai, in Southern India).
