Description :
To date, all biographers of Shaykh Ziya al-Din, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi, had assumed that he had never authored any works. But through the efforts of Dar al-Imam Yusuf al-Nabhani, the first ever work of 'Qutb al-Madinah' Shaykh Ziya al-Din has now been released.
This short treatise, penned in Arabic discusses the Prophet Muhammad, salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, being the 'Eliminator of Difficulties' [Dafi al-Bala], similar to AlaHadrat Shaykh Imam Ahmad Rida Khan's Al-Amnu wa al-'Ula.'
Shaykh Diya al-Din al-Madani :
Qutb e Madinah Shaykh Diya (Ziya / Ziauddin) al-Din, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi, was born in Sialkot in 1877 (1294H] and was descended from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, radi Allahu ta'ala 'anhu. He studied under many Islamic luminaries including the Muhaddith of his time, Allamah Shaykh Wasi Ahmad Surati, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi. But it was the Imam of Ahl al-Sunnat, Shaykh Imam Ahmad Rida Khan, 'alayhi ar-Rahman w'al-Ridwan, who had the biggest influence on him, whom he pledged allegiance to (Bay'ah) and also received khilafat from.
" One of AlaHadrat Imam Ahmad Rida Khan's, alayhi ar-Rahman wa al-Ridwan, most prominent student was the great qutb, Shaykh Ziya al-Din al-Madani al-Qadiri, rahimahullah. Despite being an Ajami, the late shaykh ascended to the high ranks of the Ulama upon arriving and thus residing in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah becoming the shaykh of great contemporary scholars such as Sayyid Muhammad bin Alawi al-Maliki and Sayyid Ibrahim al-Ahsai."
Shaykh Diya al-Din stayed in Madinah for almost 77 years. He died on 2 October 1981 [1401 after Hijri]. He is buried in the cemetery of Jannat ul Baqi, in Madinah al-Munawwarah.
