About the Author:
 

He is al-Imam al-Hafidh Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ishaq ibn Mandah al-Hanbali [d.395/1005CE] rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi. He was born in Isfahan in 310 After Hijri into a family of scholars, Muhaddiths and historians. He travelled extensively throughout the middle east collecting hadith and studying under numerous scholars, amongst then Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal and Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah be pleased with them.
