Sufi Tales for Children, One Love One Light is a compilation of stories from the works of the eminent mystic Hazrat Inayat-Khan (1882-1927). This book focuses on the first principal of Sufism, namely, "There is One God, the Eternal, the Only Being; none exists save He."


Over a century ago, Hazrat Inayat-Khan left us with a stirring commentary on this principal and a number of classic tales that illustrate his point, such as the story of Khwaja 'Usman Harvani, may Allah be pleased with him, and his foremost disciple Khwaja Gharib Nawaz, may Allah be pleased with him, the account of Prophet Moses and the peasant boy, as well as the debate between a Brahmin and an iconoclast, among others.

The author's stories seek to spread the knowledge of unity, the religion of love and wisdom.

Revisiting these stories filled me with gratitude for the wonderful way the compiler has woven world scriptures and verse into telling of these gems.
