Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada is a scholar, educationist and author. He has authored dozens of books on educational, religious and contemporary affairs in Arabic, Urdu and English. He is author of the first Qur’anic exegesis to be written in the UK, the 5-volume Tafsir Imdad al-Karam. His written works are known for their simplicity in approach and his books are taught as part of various curriculums in mosques and education centres. He is founder and principal of the educational institution of Jamia Al-Karam, based in Retford, UK, where he has taught and trained young British Imam's and scholars for the past three decades. He is founder of Muslim Charity – Helping the Needy as well as president of the UK Branch of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates.
