A shroud thief, who had stolen numerous shrouds in the past, sought forgiveness at the hands of Sayyiduna Hasan al-Bas'ri, radi Allahu ta'ala anhu. When Sayyiduna Hasan al-Bas'ri, radi Allahu ta'ala anhu, asked him the reason for his tawbah (repentance), he mentioned the mysterious incidents in three graves.


The frightening revelations and stories of the thieves who used to steal from the shroud (kaffan) of the deceased, and what lessons can be learnt from these incidents.
