Description :

'From the Land of Ottoman Sultans' presents 125 beautifully illustrated objects borrowed from the premier museums of Turkey - the Topkapi Palace Museum, the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, and the Istanbul Archaeological Museums.

The Ottoman dynasty which started with its founder Osman Ghazi in 1281, was in power for over 600 years. Not only is their empire one of the world's longest lasting, in its prime it was also one of the largest. The Sultans ruled over vast territories in the three continents of Asia, Europe and Africa.

Aside from being the center of government, the Topkapi Palace, which was the residence of the Ottoman Sultans for about 400 years, was also the center of Art and Culture. This catalogue features some of the exquisite and remarkable examples of the Ottoman legacy. Readers have 125 beautiful artifacts to admire from the three premier museums in Istanbul, Turkey.
