Al-Shaykh Mawlana Shah Muḥammad ʿAbd al-ʿAlim al-Siddiqi, may Allah have mercy upon his soul, was an eminent Islamic scholar and missionary. Born in 1892 in Meerut, he completed Dars-e-Nizami at sixteen and earned a bachelor’s degree in 1917. Continuing his religious studies in Makkah and Madinah, he traveled globally for nearly four decades, spreading Islam in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. His sincere approach, moral conviction, and deep piety drew thousands to Islam, revitalising dormant communities. He confronted numerous challenges, organised educational conferences, built mosques, authored over a dozen works, and engaged in interfaith dialogue. He passed away on 22 Dhu al-Hijjah 1372 A.H. in Madinah.
