The Prophet, Peace and blessings upon him, was pleased to have Ali, Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu, not only as his cousin or son-in-law, but also recognised his extraordinary wisdom and valour, what he proved in the time of morass and the battles. It was his devotion to Islam that the Prophet, Peace and blessings upon him, had chosen him as a groom for his beloved daughter Fatima, Radi Allahu ta'ala anha.
