The Isra' and Mi'raj -
The Prophets Night Journey & Ascent into Heaven,
[A5] Paperback - 53 pages,
by Abd 'allah Hajjaj.
Description:
The author has selected from the
Fath al-Bari a collection of
Hadith on the
Isra' and Mi'raj [The Prophets Night Journey].
This night journey of the Beloved of Allah,
May Allah bless him and grant him peace, is to Jerusalem and the Heavens from Makkah. This important work covers every aspect of this special journey through the seven Heavens and his meeting with the previous Prophets,
Peace be upon them.
Conclusion from the book:
The generally accepted view is that the
Isra' and Mir'aj occurred on the same night, and took place when the Beloved Prophet
Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam, was awake, not in a dream. The Beloved Prophet,
Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam, travelled phsically, not metaphorically.
During his ascent to Heaven, he met with earlier Prophets,
Peace be upon them, and saw some of the scenes of the other side of the world. At this time the obligatory daily prayers (
Salaah) were enjoined upon the Muslim
Ummah, and according to many (
ijma) scholars, the Beloved Prophet,
Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam, Saw his Lord.
