When reading an article or book on Islam or upon hearing a speech related to Islam, an individual usually comes across terms, names, concepts that sound unfamiliar. Often times, such words may be widely used yet be misunderstood or understood completely. Without knowing the proper meaning of such words, one cannot comprehend key concepts, teachings and practices of Islam. Since such terms are used daily in a Muslim's life, he/she must have passable understanding of them in order to properly carry out religious duties and practices.
There are a great number of terms that are crucial in defining the essential Islamic duties and rituals, but I have only selected the most important ones to include in this booklet, which is Book 4 of the Islamic Educational Series. Despite having included 200 Islamic terms, I have titled this booklet '101 Islamic Terms' to make it attractive.
