Description :

This book is a collection of 376 Qur’anic phrases and sentences. Each selection is, or includes, a phrase or sentence that occurs five or more times in the Qur’an. The purpose of this collection is to facilitate rapid reading and understanding of a substantial part of the Qur’an. It can be used as further reading practice after Graded Steps in Qur’an Reading, also published by MELS.


The purpose of this collection is :


   *** to improve fluency and precision in the reading and recitation of the Qur'an;
   *** to develop an understanding of the Qur'an;
   *** to develop the skill of reading Arabic texts without tashkeel or vowels. Such texts are normally used in books, magazines and newspapers.



The book is divided into two (A & B) parts.


Part (A) contains the selections with their tashkeel (vowels)  along with a parallel translation in English. An attempt has been made to keep this translation as literally close to the Arabic text as possible to make it easy to relate the translation to the text.


Part (B) contains the same Selections but with the Tashkeel (vowels) removed. Selections are arranged in Arabic Alphabetical order of occurrence to make for easy reference.
