There are many virtues and blessings of reciting Surah al-Kahf. There is a hadith in Sahih Muslim that states that Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said (Concerning The False Messiah, Ad-Dajjal):


                "He who amongst you would survive to see him, should
                 recite over him the opening verses of Surah Kahf"
                                                      —_{Sahih Muslim, Bk 41, No: 7015}


It is also narrated that :

                "Whoever reads Surah Kahf on Jum'ah (Friday), light
                 shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays."
